Braking system: Drums rear, discs on the front. NOTE; Most Sprite Mk 1 & 2, and Midget Mk 1 models are fitted with drum brakes on front and rear wheels. Later Sprite Mk 2 and all later models are fitted with disc brakes on the front. Electrical system: 12-Volt Negative earth. Bodywork and fittings: Since the Midget Mk 1 (Sprite MK 2) was introduced in 1961, the arrangement of the bodywork has been broadly maintained up to, and including, the 1500, which is last of the line. The combined body and underframe is of all-steel welded construction, making a strong and torsionlly rigid shell. The folding hood can be stowed away in the rear compartment behind the two seats.
